Research Interests: I am interested in:
(1) the delivery and distribution (atmosphere, mantle, and core) of volatiles such as carbon and sulfur in the Earth and terrestrial planets in accretion and differentiation processes
(2) the storage capacity of carbon and sulfur and formation of diamond in the reduced upper mantle
(3) the near-solidus melting of pelitic sediment and subduction cycling of CO2 and H2O
And I help students and postdocs perform experiments, maintain high-pressure apparatus (piston cylinder and multi-anvil), and develop high-pressure techniques if necessary.
